Plantain Leaves
Fresh plantain leaves are a firm favourite for many small animals during the summer months, but during the winter, our dried plantain leaves are the perfect alternative. High in dietary fibre, plantain leaves for rabbits are incredibly beneficial. They are packed full of important vitamins and minerals, such as calcium, iron, and potassium, supporting overall health.
Great forage for introducing youngsters to new foods, plantain can also help to promote healthy gut function, as well as stimulate appetite in times of illness. These leaves can be simply mixed in with hay or other forage - perfectly paired with our Dandelion Leaf Premium or our Spearmint Leaves. Alternatively, we use plantain in some of our delicious forage blends, such as our Chamomile & Lavender Salad or our Natural Nibbles Plantain & Blackcurrant Salad, making it even easier to feed your rabbits these tasty leaves.

Feeding Guide

How much natural forage should I be feeding?
If you ask your bunnies, they will say there is no such thing as too much forage! For the most part, they are correct, you can feed your bunnies as much natural forage as they will eat. We recommend mixing handfuls in with their hay as well as giving handfuls throughout the day. There are certain scenarios where you should limit forage, for example if your rabbit is overweight, you should limit forage that is high in protein & sugars.
